The Ultimate Achievement Hack
As I was starting this newsletter, I was having trouble finding time. I was distracted and couldn’t focus. My husband and three boys were all at home due to Covid, my husband had taken over the office and I wasn’t getting a paycheck to start Holos so it was often the last priority. This drove me crazy as I am goal oriented and like to “cross things off my list.”
Then I heard a guest on a podcast talk about how he had gotten a new idea off the ground. He said that no matter what, he took at least one action every day to move toward his goals. A lightbulb went off. Rather than trying to change the circumstances, I could change my approach. I pledged that every day I would do one thing to bring Holos to life. Some days it was big, like hiring a digital marketing firm and others it was small, like creating an excel spreadsheet to track my ideas or looking at other newsletters for design inspiration. But regardless, I always did at least one thing. This not only relieved the anxiety I had been feeling about not making progress, but it meant that I had little “wins” every day.
